Role Overview
The Lead Instructional Designer
will spearhead creative design solutions, oversee project lifecycles, mentor a team of designers, and engage directly with clients. You’ll have the opportunity to deliver innovative and interactive learning experiences while fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented team environment.
Responsibilities
- Creative Leadership:
- Design and develop engaging and effective learning solutions, such as gamified experiences, escape rooms, and interactive modules.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and provide tailored instructional design solutions.
- Project Management:
- Manage instructional design projects from ideation to delivery, ensuring timely, high-quality results within budget.
- Team Mentorship:
- Mentor and guide instructional designers, fostering creativity and professional development.
- Provide feedback and hold team members accountable for achieving goals.
- Client Engagement:
- Represent the team in client meetings, articulating ideas clearly and professionally.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships across various industries.
- Innovation:
- Utilize tools like Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, and Beyond to create engaging content.
- Enhance traditional delivery formats (e.g., Word, PowerPoint) with creative elements to elevate learning experiences.
Qualifications
- 7-10 years of instructional design experience, preferably in an agency or vendor setting.
- Proven expertise in creating interactive and innovative learning solutions.
- High creativity and ability to think outside the box.
- Strong leadership and mentorship capabilities.
- Excellent communication skills to articulate ideas effectively to clients and stakeholders.
- Broad experience across various industries, with some corporate exposure preferred.
- Proficiency in industry-standard tools (Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, Beyond).
- Growth mindset, curiosity, and adaptability to new technologies.
