About the Role
Hollingsgate Recruitment is seeking a Systems Administrator & Service Technician to deliver high-quality IT solutions to clients while providing technical leadership for internal and external stakeholders. This role involves maintaining client networks, servers, workstations, and applications through proactive maintenance and troubleshooting. Support is provided remotely and onsite at client locations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Support: Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware, software, and network issues for clients.
  • System Maintenance: Perform preventive checks, patching, upgrades, and installations of network equipment.
  • Automation: Utilize Managed Service Provider (MSP) software tools for ticket management and problem resolution.
  • Warranty & Repair: Process RMA claims, handle warranty repairs, and ensure timely resolution of defective items.
  • Leadership: Serve as a subject matter expert (SME), providing technical guidance and resolving escalations.
  • Customer Advocacy: Collaborate with clients, vendors, and stakeholders to implement new systems and software.
  • Continuous Learning: Stay updated with emerging technologies and modern solutions.
Technical Skills and Experience
  • Associate degree and 4+ years of experience with computer hardware and software.
  • Proficiency in:
  • Microsoft Ecosystem: 365, Azure, Exchange, Windows Server/Workstation, Active Directory.
  • Networking: Firewalls, IPS/IDS, DHCP, DNS, Group Policy, Layer 2/3 switches, VPN/SSLVPN, VLANs.
  • Virtualization: Hyper-V, VMWare.
  • Experience in PC diagnostics, workstation deployment, server troubleshooting, and hardware maintenance.
  • Certifications like CompTIA A+ are a plus.
